Back To The Future’s Mr. Fusion Becoming A Reality?

Everybody loved when Back To The Future 2 was finally released four years after it’s original. We were left hanging with a “To Be Continued” caption that left us intrigued as to what “The Future” held for Doc, Marty and company. When it was finally released in 1989, we saw glimpses of a predicted 2015….Jaw’s 19, Cubs Win The World Series, and hand based video games were a thing of the past. We still have eight years or so left, but it looks as though Mr. Fusion may be the only thing becoming a reality.

AgriPowerInc has come up with what appears another in a somewhat small group of renewable energy sources, solar, wind, and now “BioMass”. Agripower’s process works like this:

  • A five ton sized hopper is filled with anything from nut shells, to rubber tires
  • A massive incenerator burns the material as it comes in to produce large amounts of heat, which then powers a turbine.
  • The turbine has the ability to produce up to 300 kilowatts of electricity for normal electrical purposes, or other heating purposes as well.
  • As many of you don’t know, this isn’t the first in biomass electrical production. Power from municipal waste is used in approxiamately 90 locations throughout the US and is continually growing as more and more people attempt to branch out from traditional sources of electricity into more and more green/recycling methods.
