Looking for place organize DVD Collection? Listal.com is the place to do it.
It was around the year 1999 when I first introduced myself to DVDs, I ordered a computer from long gone Nutrend.com, with a speedy 56K modem, and 450MHZ Pentium 3, 128 or 256MB of RAM and my very first DVD Rom drive. I could finally take advantage of the up and coming popularity of the Digital Versatile Disc. The first movie I ever purchased was Terminator 2 and I believe the 2nd was Saving Private Ryan, which I still watch regularly. The collection has grown to around 250 since then, thanks to Columbia House and the sigificant price breaks you get on most of the “oldies”.
When it was around 150, I began a still highly popular site called DVD Aficionado. This is an excellent place to archive and keep track of you DVD collection and get prices on ordering new ones as well. The problem I had with it, was it was just limited to a picture of all of your pretty DVD cases. No where to rate movies, tag them, or organize them the way you want them…..So, roll in Listal.com.
Granted there many other copy cats similar to Listal and DVD Aficionado, but Listal gives you much more power and flexibility then any online or off line application. It not only gives you the ability to track DVDs, but Movies(As in Movies you’ve only watched, not own), TV Shows, Books and Music. It then allows you to rate each of these items, add them to custom lists, such as as a “Top 100 Movies of All Time”, tag them for things such as “HBO”, “Comedy”, “Thriller”, or whatever you’d like. There many other features that are worth checking out in addition as well. Check it out, it’s awesome… www.listal.com
