Surpassing 100k In Alexa…Does It Mean Much?
So I finally am back to a healthy Alexa ranking. In fact, the highest ranking I’ve ever had, inside the 100,000 mark. Does this mean anything to mean anything to my sponsors? My RSS subscriptions? My readers? What are your opinions? This is unfamiliar territory, so I’m not sure what to expect and what I should be doing.

I think it means something to advertisers and sponsored post places like PPP, reviewme and pay per post. It’s kind of unfamiliar territory with me too, but that’s what all the kids are sayin’.

Hey congrats dude, yes as Bush said alexa rank is useful in services like PPP, Textlinkads and review me. Keep going

I got absolutely no benefits from being in the Top 100,000. Now I’m almost in the Top 50,000 and I don’t expect any additional benefits either.
Its still something to work on as it will matter to some, but overall it doesn’t really matter.

Hmm… Well one thing I guess you should do is post a “Limited time only! I’ve went up to a 96,134 Alexa rank, but I’m offering my old price for one week!” post for your sponsors.

Yes, Bush is correct. The Alexa rank is used by some as a gauge of certain things, like site success, marketability, etc. So don’t be afraid to show it off.
Now, as Kyle pointed out it doesn’t always mean that you’ll derive any direct benefits from. At the end of the day, it’s just another ranking system. It has its flaws and limitations just as all the others do. But many advertisers DO take it into account.
So while you may or may not experience any direct positive results from it, one thing is for certain…you certainly won’t experience any negative ones!
Anyway, congrats on your improved rank…and may your traffic levels continue to increase!
Shine on,
Aaron

as everyone above has said the effect will be good for you in case of advertisers.Congrats on getting that 5 figured rank
But I really don’t understand why do these people give importance to alexa ranking? It can be manipulated very easily..

Congratulations
Alexa rank is not an accurate tool but it is used by PPP, ReviewMe and Sponsored Review. So if you are into paid post, then it will come handy

Since everything’s already been said about Alexa, I’ll just mention the biggest benefit I get out of it. I brag to my wife about it haha. Of course, she just looks at me like I was crazy lol. Hmm maybe it’s not a benefit then right?
Congrats on the jump!

July 15th, 2007 12:21
Congrats on this milestone. Although it’s not really accurate, Alexa ranking is still one of the ranking that sponsored review companies are utilizing so I’m pretty sure that you can make good use of this.

I’ll definitely keep reading, so it looks like you have some blogging work ahead of you.

Congratulation! I’m almost at the mark inside 100K. I’m agree with Kuanhoong. IF you are a paid sponsor reviewer, this rank will help you much. Textlinkads also using it.

Now you can get some well paying advertiser.

Congratulation!
Like many of above said. Alexa Traffic Ranking is not really meaningful unless it is used by Ads companies.
It won’t bring you more traffic.
Good to see you making good progress!

I find Alexa to be pretty useless, I can normally get a site under 100k just by visiting it about 20 times a day (with about 5 pageviews per visit) for 3 months.
