Ten Things You’ll Be Able To Do With Your Cell Phone In Ten Years
Amazing how far cell phones have come and how many people use them today. Today the cellular phone is not only a “mobile” phone, it’s a home phone, a PDA, a camera, a portable gaming device, a calculator, a watch, a navigator, an MP3 player, and that’s just to name a few. I didn’t even get my first phone until I was 22 and yet, I’m frantic every time I can’t find it. Now kids are getting them as early as five or six as they are truly becoming the most effective way of keeping track of your loved ones, especially with the power of GPS now being embedded into many newer models, including the one I just purchased recently from Verizon, called the LG EnV.(Pictured Right)

It’s simply amazing how far they’ve come and how far they plan to go, especially with the vision and hype that the iPhone has brought on. CNET put together a list of the biggest things that yours, mine and everyone else’s cell phone will have during the next ten years of evolution. It’s pretty hard to believe that many of these features will be included during the next decade of mobile phone technology, but we all know in ten years, most us won’t be able to live without these features either. Please check out the full story for details on each.

I completely agree. I think these technologies will be here lickety split fast. The only thing I question is using your phone as a payment method. I don’t think we’re going to see that State side for quite a while, I could see it in Japan though as they seem to get the cool tech a lot faster than us and I think using a phone in that way is going to require fingerprint technology in the phone. Or maybe voice or something…But I mean, seems like a lot of trouble! Why not just keep the whole mini-credit card on the keyring thing?

I don’t disagree….a lot of them have already been implemented. I think they are indicating it’s going become more of a standard during the next 10 years.
