Test Your Website in Various Browsers with Browsershots
One of the many things that bloggers, business’s and web designers have to contend with when modifying or creating a new site, is compatability in multiple browsers. Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, Konquerer, and on and on…There are several dozen popular browsers out there for a variety of operating systems and testing your site in all of these browsers is virtually impossible, unless you have way to much time on your hands and way to many computers running at home.
This is where an incredible and innovative individual, Johann C. Rocholl, has come with Browsershots.org. A completely free, open source website that asks you to plug in your web address, then sends your site into a queue on his distributed network of computers and will take a screenshot of how your site will look in the browser and operating system(Linux, Mac, Windows) of your choice. You can also adjust several other options including, screen resolution, color depth, Java, JavaScript, Flash and various other media plugins.
After your initial screenshots are taken, you can bookmark your site and comeback to submit to queue whenever you like. Here’s Listikal.com on Browsershots.org.
