The Power Of StumbleUpon
While regularly checking my stats during the morning yesterday, I was surprised to see a major hit parade from our friends over at StumbleUpon. Right then, I was reminded once again how powerful social networking is, when you can come up with a few unique posts. The problem is, it wasn’t unique, it was “The Complete RSS Tool Collection“, and it was in reference to Mashable’s incredibly thorough list of all tools in relation to RSS and RSS subscriptions. Someone Stumbled this rather un-unique post, it got a few thumbs up and things rolled from there. Now it’s #2 on my “Top Read Posts Of The Week” that you recognize in my sidebar.
Although the hit totals aren’t as high as you might think, you must be informed that all 113 of these came within a 5-10 minute span.

Some sites have announced recently that blogs linking blogs shouldn’t typically be “Dugg” or “Stumbled”, but when one is attempting to get their blog up and running, like myself, large amounts of traffic from a simple referral post can really help a guy out.
What are your thoughts on blog posts that refer other blogs or news sites getting submitted to social news sites? Is it an unwritten rule that they shouldn’t be?

Well, indeed StumbleUpon is really good and better than other social networking sites. The traffic which comes with stumbleupon is curious to know about things and they like to stay on the websites too and surf around.

StumbleUpon is my favorite. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with stumbling another blog or blog post. What’s funny is that you’ll get posts stumbled by people when you were expecting a different post to get stumbled.
