Thoof Invites - News With Artificial Intelligence

I caught this new personalized news service on TechCrunch the other day and thought I would give it a shot. Thoof is another personalized news service, similar to Digg, Reddit or Netscape, but with a twist. It has a special AI feature that can identify the stories you are reading through your own history, and then only display the ones that you may be interested in. Hints from Kevin Rose indicate that Digg has similar features on the horizon, but until then, Thoof does have some unique features that will definitely keep me reading for the time being.

It appears as though Thoof is relying much on the user for story submission and tagging, but instead of using some type of plus/minus button for hyping the story up, It simply depends on if a user clicks on it or not.

So, if you are interested in checking out Thoof, just post a comment asking for an invite and I’ll shoot you one as soon as I can. It doesn’t appear as though there is any limitation as to my number of invites, so I’ll send out as many as I can until then.
