Top Wordpress Plugins by Type - Part 2 of 5: Comments
These plugins are for everything comment related. Looking for more people to comment on your blog? These are the things you need. I personally use just about everyone of them, and would use all of them, but not all are compatible with my theme.
Please feel free to comment with your suggestions. I’ll add them accordingly.

Wordpress Comment Plugins:
Comment Relish: This plugin sends an e-mail to all first time commentators on your blog. You’re able customize the thank you message as much as you like.
Brian’s Threaded Comments: This plugin adds a “Reply to this comment” on all of your comments so that each can have their own individual response. Turns it into essentially a forum of sorts.
Subscribe to Comments: This plugin adds a subscription checkbox to all blog posts, giving you the ability to receive updates to all comments posted on that individual post. Users then have the ability to control which posts you are subscribed to and which ones you are not.
Show Top Commentators: This plugin pushes for more comments by users by posting their Name and/or link to their website, along with the number of comments they have made on your sidebar. The more comments they make, the higher up the list they get. This gives these users essentially a free link on every page of your site.
Get Recent Comments: This easily modifiable plugin displays your most recent comments on your blog to your sidebar with the ability to link back to the original post or the individual’s site, encouraging more comments by users.
WP Ajax Edit Comments: “WP Ajax Edit Comments allows users and admins alike to edit comments on a post. Users can edit their own comments for a period specified by the admin, and admins can edit all post comments. What better way to show reader appreciation than letting the readers edit their own typos?”
Live Comment Preview: Displays your users comments as they type in real-time.
MyAvatars: This plugin adds the user’s MyBlogLog logo to each individual comment that they make.
Better Comments Manager: Better Comments Manager is an extension onto the default comments manager built into the Wordpress admin panel. It allows you to reply to comments without visiting each and every post individually. It also organizes all of the comments per post into one specific section, instead of merging them all together. Thanks to Techie-Buzz for the suggestion.
