What Are Your Favorite Tech Podcasts?

Podcasting has been around for a few years now and it is still going strong. Their presence on iTunes has been a large part of their life, but with mainstream media catching on, with more and more people listening to them everyday and with today’s “In Demand” world, podcasts are here to stay.

The pioneers of podcasting were definitely in the Tech field, as is usually the case, and some big names included in this list include, Leo Laporte, Kevin Rose, Patrick Norton and John C. Dvorak. Recognize many of those names? They were all influences on the incredible tech channel, “TechTV”, which has since been destroyed by the lame G4. Many of MY personal favorite podcasts are brought to us by them and here they are in no particular order.

Twit(This Week in Tech) - One of the “Founding Fathers” of podcasting. Leo Laporte and his random gang of TechTVers, Internet Entrepreneurs or Bloggers get together to talk about the past week in technology. Far and away the most entertaining tech show on the web…IMO

Net@Nite - Each week Amber MacArthur and Leo Laporte talk about various new up and coming Web 2.0 sites. They’ll talk to some of the big names behind these sites and get the story on how it was started, why it was started, and where it is headed.

Diggnation - One of the biggest podcasts on the web..Each week Alex Albrect and Kevin Rose talk about some of the top stories on hugely popular Digg.com. Not necessarily just a “Tech” podcast anymore, but it originally was and is definitely where it got its following.

CNET Buzz Out Loud - One of the few daily podcasts on the web. It’s pretty much just a daily version of Twit, starring Molly Wood, Tom Merritt and Veronica Belmont. They have their own nice spin on everyday tech happenings and news.

DL.tv - Starring Patrick Norton and Robert Heron, both formerly of TechTV as well. They talk about just about everything, from new products, to gaming, to windows, to hardware, to MACs. They’ve got it all.

Now you know mine, what are yours? Please tell me, what are some of your favorite Technology based podcasts?

You can’t beat talkcrunch when it comes out, which is getting LESS frequent if anything. I like the way it only appears when there is something to say, and that there is absolutely no filler. I hate paddy podcasts full of waffle and off topic padding.

You know I love Michael Arrington. He’s been on Twit before. I don’t disagree when podcasts get off topic, and Twit definitely does at times, but Techcrunch huh? I’ll give that one a shot.

I love Leo’s stuff as well. Has anyone found a good podcast about the happenings in the blogoshpere?

That’s a good question. I believe I’ve seen some on Wordpress out there, but nothing big enough for many of us to hear about them.
