What’s Your Domain Worth
I ran into this while catching up on Earnovertheweb’s recent blog entries and after getting a decent appraisal for my semi-new domain, I didn’t think it was all that bad of a service.

Hard to say how Leapfish determines the appraisal, but you could probably assume it’s based upon backlinks, pagerank, alexa and a few other behind the scene factors. So, go check out Leapfish and come with what your site was appraised at.

I really don’t trust automated domain appraisal. They appreciate the based on certain key parameters backlinks and ranking might be a parameter but they don’t play the key role when it comes to domain appraisal. I believe they use algorithm to find the combination of words used, number of word count, type of word used etc.,
BTW, my domain is appraised for $4,960.00

I’m hearing that leapfish is coming back in a big way in 2008. It’s going to be interesting to see what happens. Right now it’s forwarding to eperks.com. I guess they have bought the domain.
