Wordpress Plugin: Create Your Own Custom Quick Tags

As expected, my poll on Tuesday was in favor of code for Wordpress Blogs being posted via code. It’s far easier to modify posts via code and far easier to display properly across all browsers. Wordpress provides a few quick tags at above the post such as bold, italics, link, b-quote, etc…but yet I still find the need for many more quite often. Including floating images, centering, and customized links such as ‘target=”_blank”‘ for opening links in a separate tab/window. This typically requires one to enter code manually each and every time into the blog, unless you’ve got the latest handy Wordpress plugin I’ve discovered, called: AddQuickTags

As you can see I’ve added additional tags for ‘Floating Images Right, Floating Images Left, Next Page(Multi Page Plugin), Centering, href(link customization for opening links in seperate tab/page), and lightbox 2 which is included with another plugin. Like I said this allows me to quicly and easily add code without the need of manually entering it, each and every time.

Here is another screenshot under Options>Add Quicktag, of where you actually enter the code in:

Check it out: AddQuickTags
